Default 1st Mini Goal Reached!

Progress so far? 1st Mini Goal Reached!

Welp i am pretty much at my 1 month mark... I dropped 29 lbs so far...

290 to 261

I started my heavy lifting / cardio routeen last week..
2 Body parts / Day... Plus Abs 2 - 3x week.

4 Days / Week with fri/sat/sun off - (sat and sunday there is always activity, mountain bike or something of the sort)

Taking Xenedrine, L Carintine + Chromium (spelling )

Anyways.... I am extremly happy with the way things are going.. this month has been a breeze.. . plus i feel great...

Any tips to keeping my body at this fat burning rate.. I did stall for 1 week.. and now its coming off again after i started the L Carinitine and Chrom...

What y'all think so far! I am gonna post picks when i hit my goal in a month or 2. Maybe some before hand...

Thanks guys

Funbags,

Congrats on the mini goal. As a newbie to this lifestyle, I find great inspiration from reading about success stories like you. I am about to commence a weights program to help replace the fat with some muscle.

Good luck on the journey.

Thank ya...

For me to loose it that fast i have been really strict....

And of course exersize.. but now.. my goal is to keep it coming off fast.. Now i dont expect it to come off as fast as the first month, but my goal it try *TRY* to get 5 lbs per week.. now a lot of people probally thing thats crazy.. But then again i have a lot of weight to loose so maybe i'll be lucky and it'll come off. But then there is also the problem that i started lifting more.. so i will gain muscle weight and retain more water.. so i may not see 4 or 5 lbs a week...

Lots of factors here i guess...

Anyone care to shed some light?

Adios

Hi great job!! I was wondering, the Chromium and L-chromintine you are taking. Are you taking them separately or are they together. I wanted to start taking them and didn't know whether to buy them seperate or find them in a vitamn supplement or what?

http://www.intense-workout.com/l-glutamine.html

I just ordered some l-glutamine (not from above source - I just thought you might like to see this). It's supposed to preserve lean muscle while you're losing weight (keeping your metabolism higher in the long run). Helping your body handle the stress of low carbing and exercising, and curging carb cravings (can you say that 3x fast?).

I think something like this is super important if you're lifting or really doing any sort of exercise. Muscle is our friend! Can't wait to get my order in the mail! I am such a geek!!

Does the L-Carnitine really work? I was thinking of getting some. I did buy L-glutamine and it works pretty well. I take it with dinner because I have a tendency to start binging or looking for more food after I eat dinner.

On Atkins you eat enough protein that your muscles aren't being used to burn for fuel. You burn fat instead of both fat and protein.

Actually, anytime you're losing weight, it is inevitable that you'll lose *some* muscle. Atkins or a high protein approach is definitely the least muscle-wasting but it does happen. Ask any bodybuilder who prepare for competition, for a non-scientifc testimonial from folks ONLY wanting to lose fat and monitoring like there is no tomorrow!

Hey Funbags, check out this great link:

Great info on that link!

I was also thinking of trying Creatine.. But i am going to wait about a month and see how my weight loss is going first before i add that into my routeen.... I think it packs on some more water weight, so i dont want it to distract me from my main goal of loosing weight.. Once i get to a confortable weight I am going to concentrate on building lots of lean mass .... Not that i dont want to do that now... I do.... but weight loss is my 1st goal

Anywho back to work
