10 Week Challenge
I've come up with a challenge for myself. It's a 10-week challenge based on the 10 WW tools. I wonder if anyone wants to join me? I plan to start Monday, May 3rd. I'm posting this here for now. I'll probably post it in some other forums tomorrow.
The Challenge of 10
Weeks 1-2
· Weigh-In (Day 1)
· Take your measurements (Day 1)
· Increase the amount of water you are drinking by 10%
· Increase the number of minutes you exercise a day by 10%
· Week 1 posting topic: Winning Outcomes: Answer this question: What do you want from this journey?
· Week 2 posting topic: Empowering Beliefs: Answer this question: What makes the journey worth it?
Weeks 3-4
· Increase the amount of water you are drinking by another 10%
· Increase the number of minutes you exercise a day by another 10%
· Week 3 posting topic: Anchoring: Answer this question: Do you remember what it was like before you started this journey?
· Week 4 posting topic: Storyboarding: Answer this question: What’s the next step for you in this journey?
Week 5
· Weigh-In (Day 29)
· Retake your measurements (Day 29)
· Increase the amount of water you are drinking by another 5%
· Add another day to your exercise routine
· Week 5 posting topic: Mental Rehearsing: Answer this question: What is it that you plan to do on this journey? Practice saying this to yourself throughout the week.
Weeks 6-7
· Increase the amount of water you are drinking by another 10%
· Increase the number of minutes you exercise a day by 10%
· Week 6 posting topic: Motivating Strategy: Answer this question: What’s my reward?
· Week 7 posting topic: Reframing: Pick a habit you want to break and answer this question: What does that (the habit) get me?
Weeks 8-9
· Increase the amount of water you are drinking by another 5%
· Increase the number of minutes you exercise a day by 5%
· Week 8 posting topic: Positive Self-Talking: You are what you repeat. Give a phrase to describe what you are. Repeat this to yourself daily.
· Week 9 posting topic: Asserting: Fill in the blanks: I need to ____because ____.
Week 10
· Take a deep breath!
· Weigh-In (Day 64)
· Retake your measurements (Day 64)
· Promise yourself that the changes you have made in the preceding weeks will become a WOL for you…no negotiating!
· Week 10 posting topic: Switching: “I can see the new me.”: How have you/your life/your body changed in these 10 weeks?
