Default Huge Reward meal & Still a Loss - I LOVE CAD!

I am having trouble. I can't quite believe how good this WOE is and I still lose weight!

Yesterday I had my usual two low carb meals and then had a huge reward meal...I mean,we are talking Long John Silvers Fish and More, which is 3 pieces of fried fish and fried shrimp, hush puppies, cole slaw. I was stuffed. But I did have all of it in less than the 60 mins and I didn't eat anything else last night.

This morning I was dreading getting on the scales. I just knew that the salt alone would have me seeing a two or three pound gain. But...no.... I LOST Half A POUND!! That makes it an even 10 pound loss now. This doesn't feel like a diet. Not even a little bit like a diet. I do the low carb meals...no sweat, no cravings. I don't snack. I enjoy a meal that does have carbs in it. Still no cravings. Why didn't I know about this way back when I was struggling on the low-fat way of life?

Just had to share this with my fellow Cadders. Probably most of you won't be as shocked as I was by my loss after such a heavy reward meal but I am still in awe that I could eat like that and STILL see the scales move down.

Thanks for giving me a place to share my excitement.

Isn't it great!! Do not feel guilty. Enjoy. Your reward meal was nothing compared to Sheilarayes. She then went and got a DQ blizzard!! Sheila is below goal and still moving going down.

The reward meals are sooooo much fun! I love them... That's what I live for each day! And just knowing that it's okay and that we aren't gonna gain a zillion pounds eating all that food makes it even more fun!

You're doing well.
I too love the reward meal and find it hard to believe that I am going to lose weight on it...going is the operative word at the moment..I'm only just beginning
I still have faith.....

I know how you feel, the reward meals are great, desserts have never been so enjoyable. I struggled for the last few years on a high carb diabetic diet. I could not get my glucose under control. Of course the impression one gets from the Doctors and Nurses is that "Your not trying hard enough, you have to restrict your diet some more", there were times when I was literally in tears because the cravings were so bad
A week after I started on this diet (somewhat against advice) The cravings where gone, the glucose was going steadily down and I was losing weight. Now the Doctor is saying "your doing something right, keep at it.It is quite easy really to stay on this diet compared to all the others I have been on since I was 10.(I really should stop calling it a 'diet' someone remind me that it is 'a way of eating'). One thing to remember, keep taking your measurements. A couple weeks ago I hit a plateau and I have been hovering since But in this last month I have lost an extra two inches off my hips and another inch off my waist.
