Hi everyone. Just started this yesterday to beat all the New Year starters. I came across this site and have learned a lot more than from the book. There are so many experts here I know that almost any question can be answered. I just hope that I can contribute some.

I wasn't sure if this was right for me or not until I had my last physical. I asked the doctor about dieting and he recommended the Atkins.

Hi there Don, welcome!

You're lucky to have a doctor smart enough to approve of Atkins. My doctor and I just "agree to disagree" about it.

Have you checked out the orange bar at the top of the screen yet? Lots of good info there, especially in "Low Carb Tips."

One more spot well worth checking out is the "sticky" called "Hot Links" in the Newbies' Questions forum. It's a collection of previous threads where all sorts of questions have been asked and answered.

Cheers, mate!

Default Hi Don!

Greetings from a fellow Washingtonian. I live on the East side of the Cascades.

You are fortunate to have a doctor whom recognizes low-carb way of life (WOL).

My wife and I started 9/3. We both feel much better than we have in years. The holidays have been a small bump in the road, but we're still focused on the long run.

I recommend checking the recipes. It keeps this WOL from getting boring.

Good luck and Happy New Year!

Hi Don and welcome to the "Club"!

You'll find the biggest bunch of supportive folks here and more information than you thought existed!

Good luck to you on your LC journey and write often!

Judy
