Question FitDay

Does it seem that the carb count on FitDay is higher than the carb count in my Atkins bible?

I know there are net carbs and digestable carbs .. and that we count the digestable carbs, right?

Thanks!

Loving this WOE!

Donna

Fitday provides the gross carbs... and then has a subset carb area for fiber. You net the two to get "net" carbs. Fitday does not know how to handle glycerine and sugar alcohols... as they create calories and just don't COMPUTE if you net them out. Works for me though... because I only net fiber. I have found for me personally that if it creates calories... I need to count them carbs. Glycerine particularly just knocks me out of ketosis.

On fit day, at the top of your page where it shows all your totals, it gives your carb totals for the day. Below it it gives your fiber for the day. Subtract your fiber from the carb and that is your total carb count for the day. And yes, there may be descrepencies between carb counters, you need to pick one and stick with it just to save you mental anguish and confusion. Best of luck....
