Default South Beach Rocks!!!

Hey Guys................

My stats are 310 (started) / 272 (now) / 225 (goal). I'm 6'-4" and my weight had gotten out of control.

Actually, it was my eating that was out of control. Daily: ice cream, fries, pop, candy bars, chips, pasta.........the list goes on and on.

My brother told me he was worried about my health and my heart.

He told me about SBD.

I am absolutely thrilled. A pound a day for 27 days, then leveling out to a pound or two a week.

And I'm never hungry....................!!!!!!

Just wanted to say hi and here to support anyone struggling.....

Bill (310 - 38)

Hi bill,

wonderful that you took your brother's advice and got on a plan.I do the SB,too, now in week 3 and love the plan.It makes it much easier, socially, than many plans.Keep going...you're on your way!

Hi,I've been (somewhat) on Atkins forever.I started again recently and have lost about 8 lbs in two weeks but I am thinking that SBD sounds a little more balanced. MY QUESTION: If I've been on low carbs to no carbs will I actually gain going on the less restricted SBD? The phase I of SBD is like the Phase II of Atkins and that should slow things down, right?? Any help is appreciated I REALLY want to succeed this time I have 50 lbs to lose.I walk 1 hr a day and will start Total Gym this week also.I feel that for me Atkins is too restrictive and I do not loose very fast at all.

If you stick to SBD Phase 1 for 2 weeks and no cheats....you will lose weight.

It's really important to read the book. I'm getting to read it through for the 3rd time. Once you understand the physics of how it works with your body, it seems to make it easier to know the do's and don'ts of the plan.

Your excersize program sounds great. Should really jump-start your metabolism.

Good luck.......

Bill.........310/268/225.....day 82

Hi All,

Bill is right...it does help to read through the book again. On some threads at this site folks are thinking they can have heavy cream, cream cheese, etc. This is not Atkins and I know, esp. like with myself(I did Atkins for about 4 yrd.) it is difficult to remind ourselves to watch those sat. fats, too.Reading through the book is worth it to remind ourselves of the SB way. I do think it is worth it as I feel the health benefits for me are worth it.

Happy Sb'ing,
Linda
