Default meal bars

I made the recent discovery that Power Bar's Pria ("low carb") bars are truly evil. Label says 2g of carbs but they made my blood sugar go haywire. It was awful! I did find Atkins bars on sale, and bought 3. I am making a move away from eating more than one, or a half of these per day, but if anyone else has ideas or opinions on the other bars around, please let me know. I am on the run a lot and a little cooler just isn't practical.

If you HAVE to have some kind of meal supplement like that I would opt for the shakes. They don't have sugar alcohols like the bars do. I think the only bar that doesn't have the sugar alcohols in it is the cinnamon breakfast bar that Atkins puts out.

Some of the Keto brand bars have fewer or no sugar alcohols.

The Keto bars taste like vitamins. Kinf of remind me of the old Carb Solutions bars from 2002.

Shakes can have sugar alcohols as well. The Atkins shakes inpowder form contain sorbitol.

There are some bars without sugar alcohols. Many contain molodextrin though and some actually contain sugars.

The pria bars are pure evil. Not only in taste, but in stomach distress potential. Scary.

I love the Atkins S'mores bars. The slimfast ones aren't bad either.
