I have always been told the best time to check is 1st thing in the morning when your urine is most concentrated. I sometimes check other times of the day just to make sure that I am staying on track. I know that that might be a waste of sticks but it helps me stay focused.

Good Luck!!

The problem with that can be the stiks also show dietary fat that is turned into keotones. If you had a high fat meal, or a good percentage of fat during the day, it could be showing that, not your fat burning. The directions on the box say to do it in the morning, so that's when I do it. I know I'm more dehydrated though so what ever color they turn it is probably darker then it normally would be.

I'd say pick your own time, but what ever time you choose, make sure you do it at that time each day, or each time you test. Kind of like getting your weight. Sometimes if I'm allowed to sleep in for 2 hours I can go down a whole pound *g*. Now if only the kids would buy that as an excuse to let mommy sleep.
