Munchy crunchie needed - Suggestions?
Hrm, I've just stumbled into a possible wrinkle in my LC plans. I'm about to get very deeply into a writing project and I'm going to need some kind of crunchy, hand to mouth snack to nibble on while I write. My usual fare would be popcorn, pretzels, cereal, some type of chip, etc. When I get as deep into thought as I know I'll be, I often nibble on a something almost unconsciously, especially if I get stuck over a few words. It's almost like white noise, in a way. The little nibbles provide just enough distraction to let the mental processes continue on the subconscious level while I keep typing. Some of my best problem solving goes on beneath the radar, so to speak. I'm not sure if anyone can relate to that, but I was writing just now, hit a nibble-snag and got entirely disoriented when I didn't have my little ritual ready.
Soy nuts? Pine nuts? I read the popcorn bag, and half the bag is 20 carbs with several being fiber. That's high, but I doubt I'd eat half the bag, especially if I only put a quarter in my dish to begin with. Would popcorn be so awful?
I'm open to the thought of a substitute behavior as long as it keeps me in my seat and doesn't get my hands messy. I suppose I could even try to do entirely without, but the adjustment period is likely to wreck the first few weeks of the project. :P
What suggestions have you, O Wizards of LC?
