Default Meals to freeze

I'm trying to think of small, low carb, high protien meals to freeze so I can easily take single servings to school with me. I plan to eat 6 small meals a day, with protien at each meal, along the lines of body for life, though low carb.

So far I am making -
Cauliflower Pork fried rice
2 kinds of soup
4oz ground meat cooked and individualy packaged
LC cheesecake in single serving packages

The meats I have on hand to choose from are
Pork Rib (one is being diced for fried rice, one will be left)
Cornish game hen
ground beef
ground turkey

I also have quite a few veggies and some dairy. Any ideas guys?

Sounds like you are on the right path. Everything you listed is fairly easily carried.
I guess my suggestions would be:
Deep Dish Pizza Quishe
Cheeseburger Quishe
Easy to make, easy to freeze, easy to heat up

Does anyone know what CAN NOT be frozen? Was it stuff with eggs or oil? I can't remember what the rule is....(scratching my head)

Thanks!

I've had great luck freezing stuff with eggs..in particular the deep dish pizza quiche and variations that are crustless quiche muffins. There's a recipe for crustless quiche in the recipes section. I make them in larger muffin tins, then freeze individually.

LC cabbage rolls work well too...instead of rice in the meat, use the inside part of the cabbage (the part that once you peel away the leaves has leaves too small or crinkly to use for cabbage rolls) Just shred up that extra cabbage and mix it with the rice. If you find a cabbage roll recipe...just adjust it by removing the LC ingredients or replacing with something LC

Leftover cooked veggies freeze well. Plop on a dab of butter and some shredded cheese, then nuke them.

I've found that cheese alone doesn't freeze well unless it's already been melted on top of something.

Good luck!

When I was doing BFL with LC eating, my staples were:

Hard boiled eggs/ cheese cubes/ microwave bacon
Chicken Caesar salad
Mix of yogurt/ cottage cheese with berries and protein powder
Half slice of Deep Dish Pizza Quiche
Turkey-cheese roll ups
Mini spinach quiches
Egg salad or chicken salad with Cheeter's crackers or pork rinds or celery
Leftovers- Chicken & Broccoli, for instance
Protein drinks after lifting

If you want hot meals, checking out the recipe section for casseroles is great. Hard-boiled eggs and quiches are always good. Neither really require refrigeration if eaten during the day, either. Don't be afraid to microwave bacon at work.

Hope you get some good ideas. Six meals is a lot of planning, but can feel very satisfying. Good luck with BFL!
