Default Soy Frustration!

I have very bad reactions to soy and have been diagnosed by an allergist not to take any soy/peanuts.

Does anyone else have this and how do you cope on these hi protein diets when there are so many soy products. I am making everything from scratch--but that is a lot of work. Any one have suggestions?

Ally

Wow that is a hard one. Maybe check out the netrition.com site. They have lots of lc products and if you click on each one you can find all the ingredients.

Maybe you can find a product or two just to make things interesting?

Please know that eating right, healthy and natural is really good for you so you are forced into having an advantage.

Did that make you feel any better???

Default healthy eating

wow are u ever on track! healthy eating made a diff. for the last 3 days, i quit the tea/caffeine, made certain i drank my water and ate more salads than before and started vitamins and potassium supplement.

today i got up, weighed in (my weekly day to do that) and lo and behold i dropped down to 168.5.

whoohoo! i started at 174 and couldn't break 170 after the first few days on atkins. now i did it and i know i can do the rest...

Welcome Ally,

You might try to get something like CarbSenses's (or probably other companies, I just know CS sells it) wheat protein isolate and just use it instead of the soy based bake mixes. Just a thought anyway, but good luck on the diet.

Kindest Regards,

LoneInAz
