Default Frozen Meatballs....

handy to have around, can be nuked, baked or cooked stove top...(in a little tomato sauce) Sprinkle with some cheese and eat or put on some low carb bread with cheese.... yum. (having left over ones for lunch)

What brand of frozen meatballs do you buy? I saw some at the grocery store the other day and one small meatball had 1 carb! Do you know of any brands that are lower on carbs then that that I could buy? I love meatballs!

Default President's Choice Meatballs

President's Choice Kobe frozen meatballs are quite low in carbs (2.7/6 meatballs, of which 0.3 are sugar) but I find them kind of salty. These are only available in Canada though, I believe. The thing with store-bought meatballs is that they often contain breadcrumbs as a binding agent. I made some using soy flour the other day and they turned out quite tender and good.

Yes, making a big batch of your own is definitely the way to go. You can freeze them on a cookie sheet, and then pack them in whatever container you are going to store them in. That way, you can take out as many as you need.
