Default Who is that person in the picture?

I was trying to take a picture of myself to use as an avatar, but the person in the LCD (digital camera) does not look like me. The face is a lot thinner than mine. It's cool, but somehow disconcerting. I almost don't recognize myself. (Though the new me is definitely more photogenic than the old me.)

Anyone else have this experience?

For me, my thinner face led me to want to shave. I've sported a beard for 25 years. Once about 15 years ago, I shaved and surprised my wife. She didn't like my bare face, and neither did I. It was way to obvious that I had no jaw line due to my fat neck. Since losing my weight, I've noticed that I now DO have a jaw line again for the first time since college. And you're right, it's kinda cool!

FrecklFluf, I'm having all sorts of trouble recognizing myself in my pictures. My face is much thinner than I ever remember it being -- even when I weighed 155 when I got married almost 20 years ago. Even my doctor commented on how thin my face is. Couple that with having had upper and lower jaw surgery 17 months ago and it appears I'm getting ready to go into the Witness Protection Program.
