Question pepperoni sticks w/o sugar?

[FONT=Arial]

Hello! I'm new.. I keep hearing people talk about eating pepperoni sticks?--but whenever I look for them at the G store, they always have sugar in the ingredients.... they don't always have carbs, but they do have dextrose or sugar in the ingredients. Am I missing something?

I like to buy the little ziploc packs of sliced pepperoni, usually very low carb and great for on the go, cheaper too, pound for pound. I got a great deal at BJ's, it was 2 conjoined 8oz ziplock bags for like $1.89! Shop around and stock up!

Sorry, I went on a tangent before even answering your question...If they list 0 carbs, it could actually have .9 carbs or less, per serving. That's still pretty good... in that case, all .9 are probably coming from the sugar or dextrose. You can be pretty sure that in the presence of all that fat, those trace amounts of sugare are not enough to worry about!

Ryoko Fan, sugar is basically a NO on Atkins. However, there are times when we may end up getting a gram or two ingested, and I agree with rozezone. If it's only a carb in something like pepperoni, the fat is going to way offset it. However, if you pick up something with a ton of sugar in it you could be in serious trouble.

yes yes yes, sugar is a NO!! But this is a TRACE amount of sugar we're talking about here...

Now you cant go and say "well i'll put a teaspoon of sugar in my coffee, cause it's only x carbs" That is NOT a trace amount, get it?

Sorry if I was confusing.
