Default Experience with Xenical?

I have a perscription for Xenical from my Doctor. It blocks fat from being absorbed. Will using Xenical while on a low carb/high fat diet get in the way of progress or add to my success?

Yes! Do not attempt to take Xenical while on a high fat diet. The purpose of taking Xenical is to "enforce" your low fat diet. That fat that isn't absorbed has to go somewhere, which is what causes the oily stools, gas, diarrhea, and even possible loss of bowel control.

Personally, I'd give Atkins or another low carb plan a good chance first.

I believe if you give atkins a try and be very pure about it for the first 2 weeks you will not need xenical or any prescription drug. Once your blood sugar is leveled out you will not experience the cravings you probably do now. This is from a former compulsive overeater who spent years in OA etc. etc. on phen fen. It's all about your blood sugar. Once you get it under control you will be able to control your appetite without drugs.

If you do a search for xenical, you can find many threads about it.
Here are two for example:

I would consider some other approach first....
