Default Intro and Question

Hello, My wife and I both started Atkins about a week ago. We are from Charleston, South Carolina. Her SW is 188 and her GW is 140. My SW is 250 and goal weight is 215. We have been eating essentially the same food all week and she is burning ketones and I am not. Does anybody have an answer for that?

Hi Jerandang and welcome to both you and your wife!

In answer to your question it kind of depends on how you have concluded that?

Are you using ketostix or something?

Whatever the testing mechanism I would say don't worry - you will know wether the programme is working by how your measurements change and/or how the scale moves.

If both of you are eating the same then in fact you will find yourself in a better position than your wife and you will most likely lose faster than her...seems to be the way for men darn it!

Good luck to you both

lesley

I agree -- my spouse & I are doing Atkins together, and he has stayed about 10 lbs ahead of me, despite starting a week after I did.

Stick with it and don't get discouraged!
