Question Substitute for mayonaise????

There are so many recipes that call for mayo.....which I can't eat. Anyone have any suggestions for substitutions? Thanks for your help

Maybe some sort of dressing..like Blue cheese or Ranch would substitute...just a thought

Hi Karen! Thanks for the reply...I think it's the vinegar that gives me hives and swelling. I know it's not the eggs. I am also alergic to pepper, and mustard is not my friend. In reading a recipe for mayonnaise I see all three of the culprits.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Have you tried making your own mayo? Its very simple, and you can find a recipe in any cook book. It's basically eggs and oil, and the vinegar can be replaced with lemon juice. Best of luck!!!

I wondered if you had ever heard of Vegenaise? It is a completely non dairy or vegan mayo and I really like it. It can be gotten normally at a health food type of store.

I'd agree with the eggs, oil and lemon juice - it makes a wonderful mayo - very European.
