Default starbucks carb counts

Hey everyone,

I have recently started use Starbuck's lattes as my desert or treat.

I always get the regular one *no low fat for me* and I use sweetener to taste. It is a heavenly, creamy treat. Anyone know how many carbs are in a "tall latte?"

checked out the web site...no nutritional values there. i would try to just break it down and use the carb counter in the lc tools option.
hth,
brenda
p.s. you can always get a reg. espresso and ask them to add a shot of liquid whip cream that they keep behind the counter. they do add sugar to the whipped whip cream

Jenn, next time ask for it "breve" = made with cream they use 10% (half and half) (1 cup 1/2 1/2 is 10g carbs)

If you want the totals for your 'regular' just figure out how much milk is used to make a 'tall' (sorry I can't help you with the sizes they use..... 'tall' to me is 'large' )

Default Lattes

Being a Starbucks lover to begin with, I made the switch to the Breve lattes --- except here is the bad news.......

6- 7-carbs. for a tall Breve...... (based on my figures and watching them measure the cream)

I have limited myself to having one on Sunday morning and have even trained Dennis to ask for that way!!!! I agree, they taste much better than my old skim latte.

A dear friend of mine used to manage a Starbucks in MA. I was always bugging her about fat and calorie counts back then. and allthough they don't have any nutritional info online, they are required to have it available in-store. So it is no problem... just ask!

I asked in our local Starbucks for the nutritional count for a Breve, and all they did was read off the carton, and that is 1.4 carbs per 2 Tablespoons. So I guess if we want exact counts, we need to figure out how many tablespoons in a tall latte!!! Quite a few I would think. I, too, enjoy a Breve latte once or twice a week. Had one this morning!!! YUM!!!

Hmm...well I think it is woth my morning carb allocation. Now I know why I've been slowing down...I have just recently started having a latte about 3 times a week...whoops.

I guess since I usually drink my coffee black, I just never thought there could be so many carbs in milk...I never thought about it! I usually ear mark around 4 carbs per day for coffee.

Jenn:

I am a fellow Starbucker.......

I have limited myself to a Latte Brevea once a week - usually on Sunday morning. I do not add the vanilla stuff - not my favorite flavor -now if they had chocolate that would be a whole different story!!!

It is the cream that gives the carbs plus the coffee itself has maybe 1-2 carbs. Look on Fitday.com for a regular latte for their figures.
