Question High Fat, Liver, Kidneys, & Milk Thistle

I heard that high fat diets put a strain on your liver and kidneys. I did experience some pain initially, and then I started taking 3 capsules of milk thistle from an advice from a friend, and it went away. I was wondering if anybody is familiar with milk thistle and if it really helps with liver/kidney pains. I've been taking them for almost a month now, and I feel that it's helping me, but I'm interested in knowing what others feel about it. Thanks!

I'm not sure where you heard this, but did they have any scientific evidence to back them up? As far as I know, there have been no studies that have shown this to be true.

Thank you for the link Beth!
Lisa, I was having some pain, and a friend of mine said that high fat puts a strain on the liver and kidneys and suggested I take milk thistle. It seems to be helping, but I was just wondering if it was true, that's all.
Thanks again
