Question sports drinks

Hi everyone, when i to played a sport (soccer) on a hot day or a big match BEFORE going on atkins throughout the game i would drink Gatorade or another sport drink for the boost and the hydration it gives me during play...I was wondering is there anything i can drink while on this WOE that will give me a boost during the game, because water is good but it doesnt pack the same punch (obviously because those drinks have sugar)

I've bought some emergen-c drinks that have a lot of vitamin c and other things to help with hydration. They're little packets of powder that you add to water. They're not very tasty (at least not for me), but they seem to help.

There is a new product out called "Smart water" which is just water plus electrolytes... no carbs or sugar. I've used it after long bike rides and it's helped.

I think there was a recipie for a low carb sports drink floating around this board, but I don't have it handy. It used water, unsweetened cool aid and some minerals.

I don't know if this produce is found in the US...probably is but... I noticed in our grocery store Power Aid ( a drink like Gator Aid) has a low carb... they call sugar free version...can't help you with the stats though...

I buy Champion Lyte. It's made with Splenda, zero carbs and comes in 3 flavors. I buy it at Publix.

Gatorade makes something called propel that is low carb (although it's not marketed as low carb) I think it's like 2 carbs a serving which puts it right up there with say... a serving of ranch dressing.
