Wink Fatigued on Atkins. Energy in CAD/CALP

Hi,
This is my first time posting to the list. I have been on Atkins for two weeks this Thursday and I have no energy. I have always been able to exercise w/o difficulty and now I feel like part sloth and part snail. (Also hungry all the time) Has anyone had that expereince on Atkins and then switched to CAD/CALP to find more energy and less hunger?

Also after reading much of the CAD/CALP forum I am thinking I am seeing a consensus that CAD is easier than CALP, is that right?
Thanks so much,
Tracey

Default CAD/CALP

mmmm.... CAD was written first. It gave you some different options on when/how to have your higher carb foods. CALP was written more recently and in my opinion clarifies a few things from their previous books.

I read CALP first. It was what I started with and it is what I am still following. I think I have read most of their books and at this point I am still very pleased with CALP.

Which you choose is up to you. Just remember to give it a solid try. Give it time, and follow it to the best of your ability before making any changes to a different plan.

Best wishes,
Libby

CAD came first. CALP then came after for clarification of the plan and a list of possible stallers to avoid such as MSG, sugar replacements, too many diet sodas, diet gums, sugar alcohols and the dangers of having too many carbs and not enough other foods at the reward meal.

Try to remember not to eat anything with artificial sweeteners at any other meals, such as low carb bars/shakes and limit your diet sodas to two a day taken with meals and you should have no problem. One of the dangers is not eating enough as you easily lose your appetite.

Good Luck and welcome!
