I have recently learned about this carb diet and was wondering if it is good for children my son is 14 and has been gaining weight for the last couple of years and now weighs 150 an increase of 15 pounds in a year.
our doctor told us that we should try a low fat diet but it hasn't been working and would really like to try this diet. Thank You in advance for any replies.

Why don't you check out the LC Parents part of the forum? I have seen this same question discussed in great detail over there. You can also meet other parents and get some great advice!
