Default Thicken Protein Shakes??

Can somebody please give me some suggestions of what to use to "thicken" my protein shakes.

I make them with protein powder, water, ice and a small amount of heavy cream.

Any suggestions??

Thank you,

Marla

I use cottage cheese, yogurt and milled flax to thicken mine---turns out like more like a pudding instead of a shake.

Milled flax = ground flax....according to the experts it should be freshly ground for each usage to get the most out of the Omega oils----I get it in the bulk section of my supermarket. Health food stores also carry it. I bought a very inexpensive coffee grinder that I only use to grind flax. GNC has it pre-ground in a vacuum sealed bag. If you want the full impact of the Omega's, though, gind it fresh. It's also good in any LC bake mix (pancakes, muffins, etc) or as a porridge w/HWC, strawberries, splenda, etc.
