Cool Saving money at the Doctors

I have to tell you about my hubby, AB. AB has diabetes and it went unchecked for a number of years. This caused damage to his nervous system specifically to his digestion.
Basically his stomach can't control spasms so that if he gets sick he can't stop. Also digestion can be stop temporarily.
Now all of this is affected by ABs sugar level. My hubby loves candy. But his sugar at night was always above 350! So I asked him to stop the candy and to get off sugar.... not carbs.. sugar. I also asked him to take Cromium. Last night his sugar was 230! He's thinking of doing my WOL and I feel its ok, since he inject insulin when he needs too so he has control over that and he checks his blood twice daily.
Another thing is: AB used to go to the emergancy room and into the hospital on a monthly basis. He hasn't had to in 2 months!
I'm very excited about this. Its $300 a pop each time he goes!

(Hmm 300 divided by 4 is $75 and my grocery bill used to be $150 before LCing and now its $175, hmmm I guess this means I'm saving money on this diet!)

That's great Lessara!

Make sure he reads Dr. Bernstein's book which is low-carb for diabetics, and useful information about insulin even for non-diabetics.

This book is a great one!! It's a little out-dated, but the information in it was sooo far before it's time. Let your hubby read this one, then see what his reaction is to sugar. Good luck!!
