Low carb bread in the Midwest
I just found this low carb bread in my local grocery today called "Low Carb 1 Whole Grain Bread" and it looks pretty good (and tastes like a good whole wheat bread!)
It's made by Natural Ovens Bakery, Inc. based out of Manitowac, Wisconsin. Cost at my store was $4.49 for a 2 lb. loaf
Ingredients: Wheat Gluten, Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour, Filtered Water, Oat Groats, Wheat Bran, Ground FlLaxseed, Soy Flour, Soy Protein, Sorghum Flour, Wheat Germ, Crystalline Corn Fructose, Salt, Yeast, Sunflower Oil, Barley Malt
Added Vitamins and Minerals: Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Oxide, Magnesium Oxide, Choline, Manganese Oxide, Niacin, Calcium Gluconate, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Beta Carotene, Vitamin B12

The texture is fairly dense and somewhat dry (don't expect the texture of white or "light" wheat bread here) and I haven't tried making a sandwich out of it yet, but it makes great toast; it even passed the taste test with my DH and kids.
