Question Jump Rope

Hi all

I am a great LCber, horrible exerciser and am wanting to start some at home things.

I have a jump rope and am wondering if it is really as great of an exercise as I have heard?
I am wanting to put together a home program, nothing fancy. I have some hand weights and my jump rope, do you think that will suffice? What are some good exercises I can do with just the weights ( I know like bicep curls stc.) I get bored really fast

Thumbs up ABSOLUTELY

About the jump roping- It has got to be one of the most difficult types of cardio to do. I have heard a few guys at the gym who swear by it. It really gets your heart going and burns lots of calories. I haven't jump roped in a long time and when I tried recently I couldn't do it for more than a minute. I think it's a great workout. Maybe trainerdan knows more about this.
As for the weights- lots of people here work out at home with minimal equipment. AngelaR is a great example of using what ya got. Whe gets in great workouts. Natrushka works out at home but I think her weight set grew with time. Trainerdan has a great sticky thread with tons of exercises. here

Good luck and happy LCing!!

Default i heard its great too !

but think it puts alot of strain on the feet.
i've got problematic feet from running when i was young.

so now, i can only walk on the treadmill or swim to get my cardio workout.

more imptly - i heard that 'bouncing' on a trampoline (like skipping rope) is great to getting rid of cellulite cos it gets the lymphatic system moving !

maybe i shd get started on it ...
