Cool Hello everyone

HI
Hello my name is tanya and I just began my LC diet Jan 2,2002
I'm feeling great. This is the second time I begin my diet. last year Ilost 30lb on the LC diet, but then I got back to eating carbo and i gainde the weight. Now I understand that this has to be my WOL, Ijust hope I can stick to it.
My goal is to loose 50lb. by May 2002.
I really would like to feel that Im not alone on this.
I'm vrey happy to have found this site because each day I read it I feel motivated to go on.
Good Luck to everyone.

welcome tanya. I think a lot of us need a few lessons to truly learn what "WOE" means. Best of luck to you, though I'll advise you what I advise others. Just do the plan, and accept what weight loss you get. If you only lost 40 or even 32 by May, it wouldn't be a failure, right? It'd be a vast improvement with loads of opportunities for learning.

Tanya - congratulations on finding and joining us - nice to have you around!

You gave some EXCELLENT advice to melissa when you posted that the body's signs of hunger can be confused with the body's signs of thirst on low carb.

That is SO true and I'm glad you brought it up. I had forgotten that. The body starts "talking" to us a bit differently on this WOE and we need to "listen" with new ears. Good for you.

Default Hi Tanya

Hi there Tanya,

Glad to have you aboard. I also would like to lose 50 by May as I have a trip to Cancun then, but if I dont..that will be okay too. I have also understood after this last 12 days, that this will have to be a WOL for me too..it is amazing how we realize this after only a short time. I went to lunch yesterday with my boyfriend, and had the most incredible salad...and it was great that I didnt even want the other stuff...he had a club with fries, and it doesnt bother me anymore that I dont eat that stuff.

I wish you luck..keep posting!

Laura
