I have to say first that as an RN, my advice would be to think very seriously about having your gallbladder removed. When done laparoscopically, it is relatively minor surgery. Otherwise you may well suffer pain and problems which could have been avoided. Not trying to scare you - in fact, I sincerely hope you never have any more problems!
This question comes up here from time to time. This post is addressing a member who has gall stones. The basic information is that losing slowly is safer for someone with gallstones.
