Default Cooked Tomatoes' Carb Count

I made goulash without the macaroni. Tasted fine, but I'm not sure how to determine the carb count. I bought a can that says with tomato juice, rather than the one that said in tomato juice because the carb count of the former was half the latter. 1/2 cup serving is 5 carbs, 1 fiber, 4 ECC.
So far so good.
I didn't eat the chunks of tomato, since I only wanted the flavor on the beef anyway. I figured the carb count as negligible because of that. Now my question is: Did I simply throw away the fiber or can I really subtract the carbs in the chunks I discarded?
Thanks for any input.

Default I don't know for sure if I'm understanding you correctly

but here goes. Yes, you through away the fiber if you didn't eat them and No you can't subtract them since you didn't eat them. THERE'S NOTHING TO SUBTRACT. If your wondering how much carbs you probably got from that meal. I would say VERY FEW, since you didn't even eat the chuncks of tomato. However, you probably ingested a few carbs because of the tomatoe sauce. But I wouldn't worry about it.............at the most you probably only ate 2 carbs. That's not bad at all!!!!! How was the Goulash by the way? Sounds good! I'll have to try it sometime. Tonight I made Stroganoff w/out the noodels of course.
