Question technical question

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to pose a question regarding profile setup...but I'm having difficulty posting my picture. I scanned it and saved it into a file. When I went into my profile and bugged "add a picture" and browse, I brought up the file. The first message that I got was that the picture size was too large. I scanned it at 50% size and redid the above procedure. Then the message I got was that it wasn't in the right format. I'm sort of computer illiterate...but if someone could walk me through it I'd appreciate it. I have Windows 98, if that matters. Thanks!

Did you read the sticky at the top of the Comments Box & Technical Questions index page? It explains most things pretty clearly. (I'm not all that technical either.)

To resize or reformat your photo, go to http://www.myimager.com/ and work with it. It's amazing.
