Thumbs up Can you stay on Induction

Hi you all,

Just wondering how long you can actually stay on induction, i am just so enjoying this way of eating. I have been on induction for 8 days now and would like to know can you just keep eating this way as long as you feel great and dont need anymore variety? I have never been so satisfied in my life. I am a carb junky and have struggled with my weight for eight years getting fatter and fatter with each passing day but now i just feel so satisfied and so full, i have rarely approached my meals hungry in fact a lot of the time i am not hungry at all, this is amazing for me. Food has just had so much control over me in the past, i really beleive ive found a way of eating that i can live with for the rest of my life. Oh what a feeling to not be hungry!

Dr. Atkins said you can stay on induction up to 6 months with no health effects. Some stay longer - it is your personal choice and what works for you. I started Atkins 4/23 and am on a 'modified' induction. I keep my carb level around 20 but have added foods like nuts and berries. I also have higher carb vegies occasionally.

When you finish induction read the chapter in DANDR about deciding whether to stay on induction. Do whatever works for you and your lifestyle.
