Weak wrists interfering with weight training
I have exceptionally weak wrists. I have to hold a coffee pot or pot of cooked veggies with both hands to keep my wrists from "dropping and flopping". This is causing a problem with weight training, especially with seated dumbell press, and dumbell curls. My weight range on those is 3# to 5#.
Is there anything I can do to "stiffen" my wrists so they don't flop around? Right now when I do those routines all I feel is my wrists flopping, and not the resistance on my shoulders or biceps.
I have stiff braces for when my carpal tunnel flares up. Is it safe to wear those while weight training? Are there exercises I can do to strengthen my wrists?
