Default When you go grocery shopping.. whats the one thing you always get?

Trying to find other items to buy when I go grocery shopping.. by asking all of you this question maybe if we post all our favorites, or frequently bought goodies, we can get some new ideas.

I walk down all the isles of the store and wonder "I bet theres a few things on this isle that I dont even know I can have."

I always buy the usual... steak, eggs, chicken, cream cheese, fish, almonds, macadamias, diet rite, and pork rhinds.

What does your shopping list consist of?

My favorite is the Faux twice baked potato ingredients. Made with cauliflower. It is soooo good with steak or a pork roast. I found a Tony Chachere's Butter and Jalapeno injection sauce, into a pork roast.....that's awesome!!

Default Staples on my low carb grocery list...

Butter
eggs
heavy cream
cheese
cream cheese
broccoli
cauliflower
green beans
cucumbers
celery
bagged lettuce
spinach (both fresh and frozen)
onions (green, red and yellow)
Splenda
meat (all kinds)
bacon
fresh sausages (no nitrates or fillers)
mayonnaise
ranch salad dressing
bleu cheese salad dressing
chicken broth

Now that Spring is here, I'll probably be adding asparagus to my veggies since it's getting cheaper. I love it wrapped in bacon and roasted in the oven.

My meal plan frequently calls for hearts of palm - I've never tried them - are they a canned item? and do you eat them chilled as a salad type item with a vinagrette or do you heat them up?

* Low carb tortillas (La Tortilla Factory)

* Boarshead Genoa salami

I have eaten this for lunch almost every day - a tortilla loaded with various salad veggies (cucumber slices, lettuce, tomatoes....) + salami and sometimes cheese. Add some olive oil and vinegar and you get my favorite lunch sandwich.

Default What a great thread

and what great ideas!

Being from Brazil I grew up eating palm hearts, slice them in salad, you can cook with them and other vegetables though if sliced small they may break up.
