Default i reached my mini goal!

This for some reason was my mini goal, so im really excited! I went through a stall (like most people do) and I finally made it through and the scale is going. So dont give up everyone if you are getting frustrated! Eating small high fat meals is what is working for me. I just wanted to share my news, because im so happy and inspired right now! I love this lifestyle, Im not sure where Id be without Dr atkins.

Wonderful news! I'm glad you stuck it out and found a way of eating that works for you. Can you be more specific on what you do?

Well I was drinking alot of drinks with aspartame (diet pepsi, crystal light). Ive cut back on those, not sure if that helped though. I was eating alot of stir fry's, fajita's, curry, ect. Well basically I was eating too many veggies ! Which you think they are harmless, but I really think its important to be careful with them. So instead im eating things like a small hamburger patty with cheese. Finding that balance of eating these high fat foods, while reducing calories is what works for me! I was also eating too many calories I feel. Now im drinking more water then I ever thought possible. Just being specific in these area's can really make a difference I feel. I thought that I was doing a good job dieting, but I realized that I could work a little bit harder at fine tuning my diet.

Cutting out the drinks with aspartame really helped me as well. I had no clue that aspartame could make you stall... I'm glad I found out early though!!

Congratulations and good luck in the future!

Congrats on your loss! That really motivates me to keep pushing, too.
How long were you stalled before you had the little whoosh?
How big was your whoosh? How long did it take to drop it all?

Sorry I'm so curious...it's just that I haven't lost anything for awhile and I'm looking for something to look foward to.

Great job skibunnie! Glad to see you stuck it out through the stall and came out the other side, lol. And thanks for giving your advice and your experiences on the high fat meals. You go girl!

Congrats Skibunnie! (see my signature line).
I think you are right on with your suspicions as to what caused your stall. My weight loss has slowed...this is the first week with no loss and, although I have uped my exercise lately I think it's more than just muscle gain. I think I haven't been drinking my quota of water. I also drink lots of pop with aspertame and as soon as I use up my current supply I think I give it up.
Again Congrats!

Great job skibunnie!! I think too many people get stalled because they aren't eating enough fats. It seems strange, our brains have been coded for so many years to avoid fat, but we really need to make sure we get enough.

Congrats Skibunnie!

The positive reinforcement of both knowing and seeing our progess towards a stated goal cannot be overstated.

I think it's great that you're halfway there since it means the other half is merely a matter of time.

Looking forward to congratulating you again once you've reached goal.

Frederick
