Question Fat Breakdown

I have just started doing Atkins (again) and had my 'before' bloodwork done. My doctor recommended I used Logical Butter to lower my chloresterol.

I remember reading somewhere which fats are good and which are bad. Can some1 please educate me on the following:

Saturated ?
Monounsaturated ?
Polyunsaturated ?

I know Trans fats are evil and Omega3 is great.

I tend to eat a LOT of butter and am wondering what I should look for when purchasing butter next, or should i go for the Logical ..which is expensive

Thanks

You are right about trans fats being evil.

Have a look at this article for info about fats: http://www.westonaprice.org/know_your_fats/skinny.html

So keep eating and enjoying your butter - along with any fat on your meat - and it will actually improve your lipid profile. One day our doctors will be educated!

Interesting read. I wonder how this Logical butter is meant to reduce Choloresterol ...I will have to check the ingredients list.
Lol it's probably hydrogenated/polyunsaturated. perhaps just another marketing ploy ?
