Question Why arent I losing anymore?

Help me please. okay first let me tell you that I have lost about 25 lbs on the Atkins program with very little exercise. So in the last 2 months I have been working out. I started off with the bike and treadmill, increased to walking faster and uphill and now for the last 2 weeks I have been jogging/walking for 40 min at the gym 3-4 times a week and I also walk fast at lunch for 30 min 3 days a week. I am planning on visiting some old friends in a month and I was hoping to lose 10 lbs before I saw them. I have only lost 1 lb in last month and half. yeah yeah I know muscle weighs more then fat. I dont measure...bad shrtsh1t...I know. I have noticed a very ...and I mean very....slight differance in the way my clothes are fitting. But I seem to lose more fat (lbs) when I wasnt working out. I know this cannot be possible. I will not give up my working out but my question is ....when are these lbs going to go away. I dont like them.

Well, with that workout you probably have gained muscle mass. Also, check for "carb creep" -- have you started increasing your carbs yet? Have you introduced any new foods? Have you been eating too many low carb "treats" or frankenfoods?

Evaluate your typical menu, or better yet, post it here and let us see if there's anything you're missing that we might spot.

lbs does not = fat.

Exercise increases your lean weight which not only includes muscle, but also bone density, blood volume and organ health. Increased activity also can increase the amount of water your muscles hang on to, causing a slight raise in weight there.

Losing fat is more important then losing pounds. Measure everywhere. www.mybodycomp.com can really help. Having a higher lean weight form working out means a higher metabolism, improved circulation, decreased cellulite, ability to toelrate higher levels of carbs, and many more benifits. The scale only shows a number that only you see.

I may be wrong, but I believe that tissues of some people hang on to more fluids when we do a certain amount of exercise. So it might be possible that you have retained water.

Thanks guys. I feel better. I think I just need to throw the scale out the window...yeah right. I will just be patient and continue working off my butt. Thanks.
