Default well

Everyone is different, but I know if I eat in excess of my AMR, minus 10%, fat loss slows for me. So, counting calories is important to me.

I don't stress over it. Some days its a little higher, some days it a little lower depending on what I have for lunch and dinner. Most days everything is the same. Same shakes, same times of the day. Same supplements. It changes slightly if it is a weight training day, a cardio day, or a combo day.

Otherwise the only thing I change is the food choices for lunch and dinner. Keeps me from going completely crazy.

-I don't know where the notion came from that you can 'eat all the fat laden foods you want and not count calories- and still burn fat'. I think Atkins probably said something like this. This is completely false and breaks the basic laws of thermodynamics. Anyways, you should count calories. Your bodyweight x12 is where you want to be. However, like Dan said, if you go over a little bit or find yourself slightly under... it's really no BIG deal.

Default T Dan & Zeus /counting Calories

Yes Zeus it was Atkins who said you dont need to count calories only carbs. I ve on a bodybuilding lifestile for many years BUT , I was on the other side high carbs , med protein and all the rest.
So Its different to set a total calories limit on a high fat diet but I ll do it. I guess I will multyply mi ideal bodyweight by 12 . In the mean time I will reduce the food quantity on my meals ,like two fried pork chops instead of three and maybe only 8onz on steak and only two fried eggs instead of three. How that sounds? I guess in a couple of days I will have my menu and new total calories limit well set.Thx to both of you guys.

Sounds good to me. Like I said, there has to be a 'caloric deficit' in order to lose weight (on any diet). If you have anymore questions- feel free to ask.
