Unhappy Huge appetite!

I'm in my third week of Induction and the past two or three days, my appetite has been huge! Not so much later in the day, but around breakfast and lunch times. I'm not craving anything high in carbs, but FAT...like meat and cheese! I've also been feeling more tired and run-down...and I thought I'd gotten over that part! Don't know if it has anything to do with it (probably does) but I'm four days late for TOM. (No possibility of being preggers! )

If you look at my Fitday, you'll see that my calories are pretty high (I've planned my menu for today already). However, while not losing pounds right now, I am losing inches!

Anyone know why the huge appetite and malaise? Help, please?

Darlene - your fat intake is high, good, but I think your carbs are too low - you're only having 11 carbs, try upping your carbs and see how that does you. You can try adding some berries with whipping cream - you're still getting your fat, but increasing your carb count at the same time.

Just a thought.

One thing I found that neglecting made me more hungry is not drinking enough water fast enough.
Yes, fast enough. First thing to do in the morning an hour after breakfast or when you get hungry if a low carb snack doesnt do it is to get as much in as possible from a quart to a gallon in 30 min. time.
Do the same an hour after eating lunch and dinner and you may find as I did that you are way more full and not snacking too much.

Vikki, I don't have any berries in the house right now, so I changed my menu for today around a bit. Added another cup of broccoli and some water chestnuts...took out some meat, also.

I never thought it'd be this hard to get in carbs! I'm still not sure I'm doing the right thing. The book seems to be very specific in eating only two cups salad/one cup veggies or three cups salad. But the only way to realistically get enough carbs is to eat more veggies! At least when you're on Induction. I'm still confused about that.

I've always taken the 2 - 3 cups of vegies a day as a minumum, rather than a maximum and gone by my carb count instead. But, I love my veggies and would feel completely deprived if I was only allowed 3 cups a day

cream, eggs, more veggies (use 3 as a minimum like abbey says), salad dressing (blue cheese, for example) - tomatoes have carbs as well, just keep playing with your menu, you'll see how easy it to do.
