Unhappy I CHEATED - uggghh!

I couldn't help myself! A lady brought in a homemade cake and i had a peice. It will be week 4 & haven't cheated up until this point! I've been in ketosis the whole time but have only lost 3lbs. It's rather discouraging.

Well...i just had to confess!

Default Don't beat yourself up

about it.

Just remember to get back on the LC wagon for the next meal or next day, whichever comes first.

There is no way that I can live the rest of my life without being able to eat Bernard Callebaut choccies for those occasional special anniversarys or to have a gourmet dessert when I go out for din dins (both of which are rather rare, BTW) so I just accept that is what I am going to do and don't worry too much if it throws me out of ketosis.

Remember you are trying to make changes that will not only help you lose weight but also to make you healthier. That is an ongoing process, not a final destination.

Most people give up just because they make one slip or mistake. Not a good idea. Pick yourself up, dust off and get right back at it!

Straight back to low-carb. Do not pass Go....do not collect $200! And don't let one cheat lead to another!

Also, don't be discouraged by a slow weight loss. You don't actually have that much to lose. I know it SEEMS like a lot, but losses of 10 pounds a week are almost always racked up by people with 70, 80, and more pounds to shed (and MEN!). For those of us who are smaller to start with, weight loss tends to be slower, especially if we've dieted in the past (which most women have). I average about 2-3 pounds a month myself.

I agree Rachel, some of us just have to work harder....it's not fair, but that's the way it is!! (I'm one of those people too!!) I do believe it's go something to do with our body sizes and the amount of weight we have/want to lose.

I always remind myself that good things don't usually come easy!
