Thumbs up My 2-week vacation

Hi everybody! I have been away for a couple of weeks & have TONS of catching up to do here, but just had to post and share w/everyone how my WOL went on vacation.

First week I was pretty good...stuck to my plan as best I could, and used carb blockers occasionally. Mostly ate meat & salads. One morning all that was available was Mc Donalds..and I had an egg Mc muffin w/out the muffin and it was the worst. The muffin smelled bad to me....must have been because of the way I have been eating. Anyway...on to the second week...

The second week I began to cave..slipping here and there at buffets. By the end of my vacation I was pigging down with the best of them..
I figured I had gained a bunch and would have to knuckle down when I got home anyway, so I talked myself into eating EVERYTHING..deserts..potatoes..pancakes..OMG..it was BAD!

Anyway..I weighed in when I got home, and I have gained 2.5 lbs. I am back on LCing now. Had a sirloin patty & cheese w/mayo & olives for dinner tonight. It tasted pretty darn good too! Also I don't feel stuffed and bloated like I did on vacation.

I never did the induction on Atkins..I like my 2-3 glasses of wine before bed, and have not been willing to give that up. It will take me a little longer to loose the 2.5 lbs, but I SO enjoyed my vacation..and will do the same thing next time.

Just wanted to share this w/you all. Now I'm going to try to catch up some on the postings I missed.

Well in my own opinion, its okay to enjoy yourself when your on vacation, I don't know if any of us could be 100% OP. When I was on vacation the first week of september one day out of the week we went out to eat and I piged out royally. Didn't weigh myself until the following Sunday because why torchure myself right !! I was happy to report I was down an additional 2 lbs.

I think the key to cheating / going off plan other than not doing it often is to jump right on the band wagon the next day. I don't think the body will go wacky with one day like it will a couple.

I do have day's where I plan to go off atkins
1 - My birthday dinner in october
2 - Thanksgiving Dinner
3 - Christmas Dinner

I'm hoping to stay op up until then and in between lol.... give me strength Lord
