hi there......just wanted to get some opinions on this subject...afew years while in ww the class was discussing drinking water and because i dont like the taste of water i asked if it was ok to drink crystal lite in place of it and the instructer said yes,very much so....whats your opinion? Tammy

I looove Crystal Light, especially the Cranberry Breeze and Rapberry flavours.

Crystal Light does have Aspartame- some people have a problem with it but it has never been a problem for me. I don't think Crystal Light would be a problem unless you find that Aspartame stalls your weight loss.

Yea, when I started the atkins, I seemed to stall at first, until I realized Crystal Light has aspertame. Once I dropped it out, I started losing again. I've found Diet Rite to fill that need for something other than water. Might give it a try.

Crystal Lite is so super yummy that I love to drink it... I keep getting these same cautions from lots of people about the sugar substitues/stalling...

I am scared to try....I just incorporate a little when I have to have it!

Aspartame is Nutrasweet. I'm not sure why it stalls some people but, I've heard it over and over.

Personally, I think there's nothing like plain water when it comes to getting your body hydrated but, if you really can't get it in, then crystal lite may be better than nothing (if you find it doesn't stall you). My DH drinks Fruit20, which is a non carbonated flavored water. You might like that.

You can buy crystal light in a bottle already made with splenda

Also..if you cant' handle drinking just plain water..why not add a bit of made crystal lite to your water...thats better then nothing right?

Baconbabe, where have you found the pre-made Crystal Light? I saw it listed on the Splenda website and so far I've had no luck tracking it down. I can't take anything with Nutrasweet because it gives me migraines and I really would love to try the Crystal Light since I'm trying pretty much everything with Splenda until I find something that I really enjoy.

Crystal Light has in the past stalled my weight loss. I now make Koolaid with Splenda and Stevia and have had no problems.

Eww - I'll have to look for this crystal lite in a bottle - might be yummy! Also, the diet rites are made with spenda and really tasty as well - might want to give them a look.

You can find Crystal Lite in a bottle at Target. They're not that expensive for a 4 bottles is about $2.50 - 3.00 here in Michigan. So if you have a Target Store nearby check them out because they have it there. I like the Raspberry Lemonade and Pink Lemonade they are great!

Yes, Diet Rite is also made with Splenda and they taste good as well. I like cola and white grape.

Target - oh no - another addiction of mine. Target is like potato chips - you can't just eat one. I got to target to get a $3.00 bottle of crystal lite and I leave with $150 worth of things that I just gotta have.

Is anyone here concerned about Splenda? I learned some grim news about it in one of these forums, I think it was the U.K. There was a website that told lots of negative things about it. Does anyone share my concern. I hope there's nothing to it, because living my life without something sweet might be unbearable!
