Thumbs up A small milestone!

I am a full time college student, taking the bulk of my courses through distance learning - on line classes and telecourses. Every semester before classes start, we have an orientation for the distance learning classes so we can meet our instructor and pick up the syllabus. These are usually held in a large lecture hall at he community college, which is full of those little rows of plastic chairs with wooden desks that can be lifted up and "unfolded" across your lap. For the last two years, I have either not used the little desk, or have had to deal with it sitting at an angle because it rested on my stomach and would not fold all the way down.

Well, Wednesday night I had an orientation... I reluctantly unfolded the little desktop... and.....

IT FOLDED ALL THE WAY DOWN!!!!

There was even a huge gap between my belly and the edge and between the desk and my legs!

WOOHOOO!!

Robin

Doesn't that feel GREAT?

My "moment" was fitting into the chairs in the Dr.'s office WITHOUT the arms digging in.

That's funny, because I had the exact same experience the first day of classes. I wrote about it in my journal at the time. I'm wondering when the sense of awe will go away when I sit down and can slide into the desk.

What are you taking this term?

Great job! I'm looking forward to being able to sit comfortably in the airline seat next week for a change. That may be a "moment" for me. It's the first time I've flown since losing all this weight.

Congrats. I like reading about these milestones that others pass. Losses on the scale are great but things like this are the really fun part of losing!.

Terrific story. Makes me feel good to hear other peoples successes. Like others here said, its not all about the scale or the number of pounds. You should be very proud of yourself!
