Hi! I'm a new member and I'm very eager for any advice that any of you low carbers could give me! What veggies should I most concentrate on eating/not eating during this induction time? Should the amount of cheeses I eat be limited? Thanks for your help----~Ang~

Welcome! On induction, the Atkins Center advises limiting cheese to no more than 4 ounces a day. All cheese has some carb and it can quickly add up. As far as vegetables go, my personal induction favorites are broccoli and cauliflower. Both have lots of fiber, so when you subtract that out of your carb total, your carb count stays pretty low.
One of the most important things is the water. Drink lots of it - at least 64 ounces a day. Starting a journal is a great tool. Post your menus, your thoughts, whatever.
Good luck!

Yup...limit the cheese because it does contain carbs, even if the pack says it doesn't.

Any high starch, or sugar veggies should be looked at carefully. (corn, potato, carrots, peas etc)

Good veggies: brocolli, cauliflower, spinach, asparagus, eggplant, beets, zucchini, leeks, summer squash, turnips, aritchoke, mushrooms, lettuce, olives (I think you get the idea )

Just watch the carb count, as most veggies do contain some carbohydrates. Some are just lower in carbohydrates than others by volume and those are the ones you want in the diet.
