Default Coconut Again....sorry

HEY FOLKS,
I have started taking the coconut oil, and then something hit me, if one can eat coconut oil which is oil taken out from the coconut meat, than could one not drink coconut milk, or shredded unsweetened coconut, on the cans of coconut milk i purchased its listed as 2 oz of milk having- some have 1, some have less than 1 gram of fat, so im assuming its coconut oil from the coconut, as well as shredded coconut... went on fit day and like a half cup has like 3 or 4 net carbs with again 6 or so g of fat. Now im wondering if we could consume the oil in the whole product (so that we get some additional fiber) instead of paying a kings ransom for just the oil.

Default TRYING TO FIGURE OUT

well thats what im trying to decide, i feel better taking the coconut, but if i can buy it for pennies in the whole food, and getting fiber and the coconut fat, then i would rather eat coconut than to take the oil which is outrageously expensive, if i get a definate answer i ll let u know

I love coconut, so I'm doing all of the above

Oil, milk, cream and just plain shredded coconut have become staples at my place. I'd say that the oil is the most concentrated source of what you are trying to get - the lauric and caprylic acids - and 4 tablespoons of the oil is not going to be easy to replace with shredded coconut simply because of the carb count.

But you could experiment and see?
