I like vodka with a diet pink grapefruit soda that super-walmart carries. Tastes pretty much like vodka and grapefruit juice did just sweeter. They also have a peach diet soda as well. That might give you the fuzzy navel illusion. Both of the above are no carb. Buttery nipples are pretty good 1 part irish cream and 1 part buttershots to make it. Although that one might have some carbs to it. Maui tropical rum (tastes kinda coconutty) with lime soda would probably be good too. I used to always put it in limeaid. Again I am not sure of the carb in that one. Oh flavored vodka is also good with diet 7up or whatever diet drink you use in place of that.

Rum and diet soda is usually what I stick to. Most "sweet" drinks are loaded with sugar, unless you are lucky enough to find a restaurant that serves the LC drink mixes. There is ONE restaurant in my (fairly large) town that serves them. I have not tried them yet, though.

I used to drink rum and diet right. Not sure about a fuzzy navel, though....maybe try something with diet orange soda and cream?

I usually drink vodka and diet grapefruit soda or Fresca which has 0 carbs when I'm at home or rum and diet when I'm out. Gin and Diet Tonic are good too. Make sure you get DIET Tonic because regular tonic has calories and sugar in it.

For a fuzzy navel I'm thinking maybe some seltzer water and some flavored Davici syrups. I'm not sure if they have orange or tangerine but it sure sounds good.

When I drank, I could really throw back double shots of Absolut Pepper chased with a diet cherry coke.

Maybe that's why I don't drink anymore?

Be careful - although on South Beach one isn't supposed to be in Ketosis, I sometimes am, I know, and others have even heard it from their Docs. When you are, a very small drink can knock you out. It has happened to me that I felt not able to drive a car with half a glass of wine - there is an alcohol thread that explains why. I now am really careful with alcohol if I have to drive.

I wish! No, it's spicy peppered vodka, usually mixed with tomato juice for a Bloody Mary.

Rum can be very high carb. Go for pure rum like bacardi 151, not a spiced rum. There are a coupel threads on here that have all the carbs for Bacardi and Cap't Morgan.

If you like a sweeter drink, try vodka with splenda sweetened crystal light. There are also splenda sweetened margarita and pina colada mixers.

Be careful not to drink often though. When you drink alcohol your body turns it to keotenes prefering to use them for energy then keotenes from fat. Anything eaten will be turned into fat for later use. Alcohol also has calories which need to be considered.

I love Hurricanes - but they are not advisable on Low-carb. However, I think I have a work-around for them. They take like Cherry 7-up with a kick.. very smooth.

Regular Hurricane:
Southern Comfort
Cherry Grenadine
Sprite

Low-Carb Hurricane:
Southern Comfort - 1 oz = 3 carbs
Diet Cherry 7-up

I really like sparkling "ICE" by talking rain. They taste sweet, but have splenda in them. They come in several flavours. I add rum or vodka, and lots of ice. I get them from Costco, and they really do the trick when I feel like a cooler.
