Cool new kid on block

Hi everyone: Just been reading all the postings, particularly the Type 1 diabetes postings. I am T1 and was diagnosed when I was 13 so that would be....hmmmm.....well....hmmm 24 years ago (EEEEEEK). So finally the world has discovered low carb.....could have used some of those Atkins wraps back in the 80's let me tell ya! Anyhoo....I can count carbs til the cows come home but I cannot, I repeat, cannot lose any freaking weight! I exercise 1 hour with weights and cardio every day, do yoga (which holy cow lowers the blood sugar like crazy) and literally watch pretty much everything I eat..but in case you think I am a saint....I do cheat OCCASIONALLY. So any other T1 out there busting your butt and actually getting results?????? Talk to me!!

Jean

Hi

Welcome to the board!!! I have PCOS and couldn't for the life of me lose any weight until I came to this board so you are in the right place!!!!

Try starting a journal and log everything you eat in there...you can also start an exercise journal as well. What really helped me was logging into fitday.com!!!! This is a GREAT tool and it's free!!! I had no idea how many carbs I was really eating and not knowing it or whatever the case maybe...also another quick one....be very careful with the low carb food they make and the net carb count!!! That was a BIG one for me....when I gave that stuff up, well the weight started coming off!!!

I hope this helps and WELCOME once again!!!!
