Default Keep tasting sweet

I have noticed that recently tap water and black coffee both seem to have a sweet taste. Tap water here typically is so metallic that most people use bottled water or add something to the water to cover its taste.

Is this a result of the induction process or perhaps the taste buds becoming sharper and tasting sweet where I never noticed it before?

Today I'm wearing jeans that were too tight to close a month ago. One more inch and I will need to make new holes in my belt.

That happened to me too during induction. I also noticed that a powdered calcium supplement that I take with water also tastes sweet to me. I don't get that effect as much any more as I did in induction but I wasn't eating any artificial sweetener then either.

Me too, I was just telling my cousin that everything tastes sweet to me now. I think I am just paranoid of the sugar !

My taste buds have definitely woken up after a long sleep! I can't believe it. I think it's definitely a positive side effect of this WOE.

I used to be a major salt freak -- salt on everything. Couldn't get enough. Now I barely ever add salt to my food.

And I can really taste the natural sugars in food. I never realized how sweet peppers are! And onions! I made a sauce that had onions (not much either) in the base and it tasted so deliciously sweet.

I believe all the sugar we were eating with our old habits really made it hard for us to taste the natural flavours of food.

This has been one of the best effects for me -- really enjoying food again and tasting all the wonderful things that are out there.

To me, the thought of pasta or a potato seems so bland now compared to all the other tasty things I can eat. (Wish I could say the same about chocolate Thank heavens for the peanut butter cup recipe to satisfy that particular need!).

K.
