Question Workout Questions

Ok I have two separate issues/questions. The first is, what are some good excersizes to do for the LOWER abs. I have free weights, I hate doing tapes (i.e. pilates, yoga, tai chi, etc.) and I can't really get out the house to run or anything (SAHM). I want to firm it up down there - the top of my abs are good to go (or at least, getting better with sit up crunches) ... but my lower abs need work! Plus, how do you work that area between your butt cheeks (can I write that!) and your thighs and hips. My legs are muscular (swimming and water polo will do that to ya ), but that one region is just ... flabby!

And here's my other issue/question, for my husband. He really wants to work on his shoulders and arms. What are some good workouts for those? Again, no time to run, flat out refuses to do tapes and has free weights.

Thanks!
