Exclamation Really Weird Thing Happened to Me.....

This is a really weird thing....I'm hoping someone can give me some insight....

The last two weeks have been extremely stressful for me. As you all know, I'm married, I go to University part-time and I work full-time. Stress eating isn't advisable, but we all fall off the wagon at times.....so, here's my story......

I was particularly vunerable this week, during a very terrible migraine headache. My DH, who is bent on sabotaging me, bought me an Entemann's chocolate fudge cake to make me "feel better". WELL, ok---I ate the DAMN thing. I felt satiated afterwards, but I also felt BAD about falling off the wagon....

Here's the weird part...I'm in the deepest ketosis I've been in since I started Atkin's in January....and I had been having trouble getting into ketosis the past 3 months...NOW...explain that one. I ate a whole bloody cake! I'm afraid that this is the BAD ketosis....Diabetic ketosis........

Any ideas?

This used to happen to me in my first year of LC too. I would eat something that contained sugar, and the next day, a whoosh. I didn't relate it at that time to eating a load of carbs, and don't have a clue as to why it works.

However as a caveat, this does not happen any more after 2 years and 4 months with LC.

Wink me too!

i find that sometimes i go way off the wagon, and i am fine the next day.

i'm sure this will not always be the case.

just take it as a case of good luck, and keep on going.

don't forget to drink that water, it will help flush out the ketones.

Default WOW

I just posted a comment that was practically identical. The same thing happened with me after a small piece of cheesecake. I have been trying to get back into ketosis for about 6 weeks. I thought it must have been something to do with the sugar rush my body received. I thought I must have shocked it or something!!! I dont know but I like it.
