Default Gaining Wight on Atkins-HELP!

I am new to the forum. I am also from the good ole USA! I have searched many different forums and have found this to be the best yet. I am hoping that someone could give me some insite on my situation. I HAVE BEEN GAINING WEIGHT! (not muscle weight)
I have been doing the Atkins Diet for 3 weeks and have had no success! I have followed the diet to a tee. My carb intake is around 15-20 gms a day. Ketosis is in between trace and small. It has been this way from the first week. I drink about 4+ liters of water a day, so I know that I am getting the water intake that I need. I am roughly 50lbs overweight and would desperately like to rid myself of those UNWANTED pounds! Why would I be gaining weigh? I am not doing any weight training. I do 30 minutes of cardio a day. My levels never change! Any help would be welcome!

Hi there!

Why don't you post exactly what you have been eating. Every crumb or drip of liquid that goes in your mouth, that way it will be easy to see what the problem might be.

Some problems are:
- eating low carb bars or other 'sugar free' or low carb goodies that can actually lead to stalls
- not eating enough and putting body in starvation mode
- other factors which are hard to tell unless you list what you are eating.
